Environmental Projects More
and more EU funds and state aids are being made available to encourage
green initiatives. A feature of environmental capital grants, which
are offered in some Member States, is that, to be elegible, projects
don't need to be located in designated Assisted Areas. There
are several UK funding schemes to encourage environmental and energy
related R & R and demonstration projects. The
European Commission's Framework R & D Programmes include "sustainable
development and global change" as a prime "Research Area".
The EU LIFE Environment initiative supports a wide range of demonstration
